2019 Women for ATSU Award

Women for ATSU is pleased to announce the funding application for Arizona campus programs is now open.  Below are guidelines, criteria and dates for this funding process.

The Women for ATSU program annually directs the charitable gifts received from members to provide ATSU programmatic awards.  Individual award requests are not to exceed $10,000. 

Applications will be reviewed initially by the Women for ATSU Awards & Scholarship Committee with finalists presenting to members of the Women for ATSU program on April 2, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hilton-Paradise Valley (5401 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85250) from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  All finalists (or their representatives) will be required to be at this presentation.

The Women for ATSU members will then vote on the programs.  The program(s) receiving the highest number of votes will be funded.   After final approval from the Women for ATSU Executive Advisory Board, the award recipients will be notified by May 1, 2019.

Guidelines:

The intent of this funding is to benefit ATSU students and programs at the university. All funding must remain within the university. It cannot be redirected to another non-profit. If funding is requested to purchase equipment, the equipment must remain the property of ATSU.

Examples of previous funding includes: dental care through Smile Forward, birthing simulators, CPR Mannequins,portable X-ray machines, audiology equipment and therapy tables used for hospice care and training.

Program award applications should not seek funding for research and cannot involve human subjects,laboratory animals, or bio hazardous materials.

  • February 26, 2019 Award Applications Due by 5:00 p.m.
  • March 13, 2019 Finalists Notified
  • April 2, 2019 Finalists Present to Women for ATSU Members
  • May 1, 2019 Award Recipients Notified
